On January 9th 2026, our family lost our home in the Harcourt Bushfire.

As people who work in environment and climate action, we have been aware of the risks, but that hasn't quite prepared us for the reality.

Our entire home and all our belongings were completely destroyed in the fire. It's still hard to fathom that everything we have lovingly gathered, curated and created over the years is gone.

We have deeply appreciated the overwhelming support of our friends and family who have housed us, fed us, and held us through these early days.

For those who haven't been able to help in those ways but still want to contribute, we have been encouraged to provide a way to donate to help with the daunting and expensive task of rebuilding our lives.

Very soon after it happened there was a Gofundme  set up by some of our dearest friends, but we asked for it to be paused while we were so raw. Where possible we would prefer a gentler, less public and less 'goal driven' approach than a crowdfunding platform.
